There is a bug in FreeBSD bridging code that prevents an untagged interface being in one bridge while a tagged interface is in another. Look for a bug report for that. Also find source code to bridging.

Explore, using DHCP relay on bridged nodes. Will it work across a bridged interface? Can you switch to TCP from UDP for all but the last hop? Find out how dhcp realy might work with bridging. Check out DHCP relay source code.

Try to reflash tough switches to OpenWRT, etc... Enable USB port if possible.

Find source and HW for FLOSS switches.

Figure out why iperf locks up.

Find a way to do traffic shaped BW tests on links in use. so that the test data gets what's left. Don't drop packets for the actuall data.

See if there is a routing or bridging protocal that understands loops and "invisible" bridging hops.
The goal being to not have asymetrical routing.
Switch lap 1 and lap3 on the map, the names are swapped.

Find a way to make temporary interfaces for testing on different nodes, and or buy really cheap client devices that can measure network performance. Also if you could find the software that measures the location of other clients that would be cool too.

Think about non-standard netmasks for ebtables filtering at the fair. Test with wireshark.

Think about new fair buildout and plan meetings.

Write announcement to vendors about 5.8Ghz pilot project. Write to fair family about no public net during the fair. Let all know that passwords are available at all info booths.
